NEW
Revisiting Washington: A Guide to the Evergreen
State - First published in 1941 as our state's contribution to the
massive American Guide Series, this 2007 interactive travel guide has been
reissued by the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation
as a contemporary version of the original Work Projects Administration (WPA)-era
guidebook. The new multimedia version comes updated with current field
notations, digital navigational tools, a rich collection of images and graphics,
historic audio and video selections, and a colorful scrapbook of roadside
Washington from the 1930s and 1940s. The updated guidebook includes an
interactive trip-planning toolkit featuring detailed directions, maps,
photographs and GPS coordinates to help travelers navigate Washington's scenic
back roads and byways, from Bellingham to Cathlamet, Forks to Pullman and
communities in between. We have the free CD here at the Shoreline Historical
Museum. Limited quantities available.
